Amos 'n' Andy is an American radio and television sitcom set in Harlem, the historic center of Afro-American culture in New York City. When Amos ’n’ Andy moved to the small screen in 1951 (becoming one of the earliest examples of the modern TV sitcom) and was replaced with an all-black ensemble led by Alvin Childress as Amos. ![]()
